Educational Communications
Educational Communications
provides the SUNY ESF community with an array of professional video production and event staging resources to enable clients to achieve electronic media or event production goals.

ESFTV traces its roots back to the early twentieth century with the media pioneering efforts of the Office of Forest Extension. Radio programs and films produced beginning in the 1930's and continuing into the late 1960's paved the way for the first ESF television studio that went online in 1971. By 1998, film production had ceased, and the television studio dormant.
In 2000, a resurgence of professional media production with the creation of a new production facility with edit suites and multi-camera studio helped to spur digital production. By 2010 ESFTV was producing HD programs and streaming on various platforms.

ESFTV on YouTube displays over 400 television programs and segments. These progams are viewed by tens of thousands of subcribers and millions more world wide.

Events Production division provides "front of house" support for in-person attended events at ESF. Our group has experience with major sponsored lectures, formal dinners, awards programs, graduations, convocations, meetings or gatherings, and "Town Hall" events. Support for LIVE audio mixing, and presentation electronic imagery are among the services available.
