Pet Supplies Drive Collecting blankets, towels, wash cloths, and any other pet supplies to donate to Animal Wellness Clinic of Skaneateles. Collection boxes will be placed in Gateway outside the bookstore and in the lobby of Centennial Hall` Invertebrate Bioblitz Exuvia Society will be hosting an I-Naturalist BioBlitz where students are encouraged to record observations of as many invertebrates as they can. The top three observers will get prizes and the best photos will make up the event's banner on I-Naturalist. Tie-dye Our famous ESF tradition of tie-dyeing EVERYTHING returns! Tie-dye an Earth Week T-shirt or bring something of your own. Earth Week shirts and stickers will be available for free and tie-dye kits will be available for pick-up as well. Celebrate the 60th anniversary of Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" by listening to the communication styles of different bird species and experience and share your own environmental inspired visual art and writing. LYMPYP Birds of Prey Join Cindy Page of the Page Wildlife Center as they come to campus for a birds of prey exhibition. Come share a room with eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons. Earth Yoga A yoga class designed to help participants connect to themselves and to the Earth and our natural world. Bring your own mat if you have one. Rain location: Baker 408. 3K Walk/Run The 3k course will start and end on Campus Drive. It will go out and back into Oakwood Cemetery. You can run and/or walk the course. Members of the ESF Cross Country and Track teams will assist on the course! 4pm sign-up at Gateway doors near the bookstore and at 4:15 the 3k will begin. |
You're Recycling Wrong...I'll prove it! Did you know most people recycle incorrectly? Including most of the students/staff at ESF? Come learn about why recycling is so complicated and how to recycle correctly at our event! We will feature speakers from the National Recycling Coalition, NYSAR3, OCCRA, and ESF. Community Garden Clean-Up Help EWB/ESS organize and restructure Eastwood Community Garden post-stormwater management analysis. We will be cleaning up organic litter to improve the garden. For transportation, please sign up on the link above. Hike & Paint Hike & Paint group session at Clark Reservation combining hiking, art, and improving mental health led by Lena DeLeo, a local licensed creative art therapist. The goal is to practice mindfulness and therapeutic art making to connect with our emotional state. We spend about 30-45 minutes walking, and 30-45 minutes creating and painting. We focus on the experiential process to learn skills for anxiety/stress management and improve overall emotional wellness. Limited spots available, so sign up now! |
